Scott Hur

Scott Hur focuses in the areas of commercial, corporate, and employment law, as well as tax audits. He represents individuals and businesses in trial and appellate courts. Mr. Hur has successfully prosecuted and defended many cases involving shareholder/partnership conflicts, probate actions, labor and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) disputes, and intellectual property claims.

Mr. Hur is a graduate of New York University and Seton Hall University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in New York.

Experience and Success

• Successful defense of New York State sales and use tax assessment in excess of $1.6 million. Settled for under $400K.
• Successful negotiations with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) of Foreign Bank and Financial Account (FBAR) compliance through Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Program (OVDP).
• Successful settlement of claims including wrongful termination, age and disability discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour violations, and class-action lawsuits.
